As the sun set low in the sky, it cast a final beam of
light through the trees
upon a tiny flower.
The flower felt the warmth on its petals and lingered just a little while longer before closing itself down for the cold dark night.
Just like the delicate flower we also need light and warmth.
Darkness hides in many forms and so does the cold,
If you see someone slipping into the dark, offer them the light from your soul
If you see someone become cold, offer them the warmth from your heart.

Loneliness kills
A big old house stands alone in an overgrown garden. At night when the moon shines you can see through the windows, in the parlour stands a grand piano and on the lid a violin sits with the bow laid across the strings. All is quiet now where there was once love and gaiety.
One night a little mouse ran up the piano stool and onto the keys, followed by its friends who also climbed. The mice began to run up and down the keys whilst the others dragged the bow back and forth across the violin strings. Soon the mice began to play the most beautiful tune. The mice knew that the lady would bring food so every night they played for her.
The lady was alone in life apart from the mice but at least they were company and brought pleasure.
The moon shines in many house windows, there is no piano, no violin and no musical mice, but there is an old person alone sat in a chair.
Call in for tea and cake and make a lonely person happy.
Loneliness is a killer.

Book and Cover
A very wealthy but conceited businessman was driving along a country road. On his way he spotted a scruffily dressed guy sat
on afence. So decided
to pull over, he then lowered the window of his luxurious Bentley car and called over to him. “Hey you there, you look in need of a little food and clothing, it just so happens I have a cold potato pie in the boot and a jacket which my wife’s dog slept on.”
He climbed out of his luxurious car which had a carpet better than a posh house, opened his boot and threw the items to the guy.
“Here you are" he said, "I’m wealthy, I own seven hotels, two garages and five restaurants.” Then he got back in his car and sped off.
Some years later, the businessman lost everything and became penniless. He too found himself sitting on the very same fence when a big car arrived and stopped. The driver lowered his window and called out. “Hey, you there, you look in need of food and clothing. It just so happens I have a cold potato pie and a jacket .” Then he climbed from the car, opened his boot, and threw the items out to the guy and drove off.
The failed businessman began to eat the cold pie then bit on a hard lump inside it , he opened his mouth then spat out a piece of paper which read,
"I'm wealthy now, I own seven hotels, two garages and five restaurants."
The moon is bright and shines tonight, a witches pot shall brew
The owl is hooting out his song, too wit, too wit, too woo.
Her face is old she's dressed in rags, spells and potions brew, spiders busy spinning webs, sing their song so true.
Even witches need to love......

The Giant Who Liked to Sing
Along time ago in a forest lived a Giant who loved singing, he sang in the morning, hesang in the afternoon and even at night, in fact if he was awake he was singing. But his favourite time was Sunday morning in the village church, but he was so big he had to stay outside because he couldn’t get through the little wooden door.
The people of the tiny village dreaded the giant coming to church because he was so loud, and his singing was so terrible that his voice echoed throughout the village, even the birds in the church tower flew away to hide from the noise. He was a nice kind giant though, he wore a long coat that reached all the way down to his boots, and a big leather belt with a shiny brass buckle.......
